On the 18th of June the Local “Relay for Life” was again held at CASS. I understand it was a successful year and was completed without rain.
It is an emotional time and a time to realize that Cancer can be beaten. It takes a fighting spirit and the support of many. Those that took part should be proud of their efforts.
The Woodstock Camera Club again attended to make a small contribution. Once again we took pictures of the teams. Shoppers Drug Mart, East End, this year took up the challenge and printed a copy of the team members picture for each member of a team. It is a little reminder of the part each team played in the fight against Cancer.
We had four team photographers, a number of roaming photographers and more support people to track teams and assign them to photographers. We had fourteen members and took 864 pictures which will be provided to the Cancer Society for future use.
