On the 30th June, Dave Feick, Jerry, Ralph and I went to Niagara, We got up early to leave at 4:00 AM. No we are not nuts, we just wanted to catch the light and miss the crowds. We arrived by 6:00 AM and found the Falls with just 5 other people to share them with.

Within 30 minutes there were about another 100 people.
After a couple of hours at the actual Falls, we moved on to Dufferin Islands for a walk around the nature trails. That park is a little known area in the city. We then had to check out a local restaurant for breakfast. Perry’s Place (Restaurant) on McLeod Rd fit the bill, a local eatery that makes a good breakfast.
We moved on to another local secret, the Glen, and walked down and down all the way to the river. It was cool along the parkway but the wind disappeared as we walked down. It became very warm.

The jet boats were in operation when we got to the river’s edge. The passengers and crew seemed to be having a great time. It does appear that there is a bit of moisture in the air when you travel on the river.
There are a couple of details you should know before you go down the Glen, Walking is treacherous in places, hiking boots would the preferred footwear. It is a long way up and the elevator is missing.
