SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 – MEET & GREET
•An evening of socializing with club members and new members while enjoying a light refreshment.
•Tonight will include an overview of the WCC program, upcoming club activities and what the club is all about.
•Introduction of the Executive.
•Announcement of the New 2016/2017 WCC Contests.
•Member’s Images – ‘LAZY HAZY DAYS OF SUMMER’.
Mike Poole will be introducing us to the Canadian Raptors Conservancy. Raptors are known for their ferocity, beauty, power, intelligence and ability to live high above our heads. Come hear all about it.

SEPTEMBER 21, 2016 – LEARNING SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT
Wilson Johnston and his colleague Mike Andic will be discussing and demonstrating a mix of vintage camera equipment as well as modem camera features.
•Duane Thomas and Urszula Kumala from Highlander Photography and Studio will be giving us tips on framing, printing and matting images.

OCTOBER 5, 2016 – MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY
Guest Speaker: Jason Gennings
What is macro?
We will look at macro gear and shooting techniques such as focus, steady shooting and depth of field.
We will also look at lighting equipment and trouble shooting with high-tech and low tech solutions.

OCTOBER 19, 2016 – ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY
Guest Speaker : Kim Manley-Ort
Have you ever tried doing abstract photos? It teaches us to see the image and express our emotion through our photographs. Abstracts are meant to be felt, not understood!

NOVEMBER 2, 2016 – HANDS-ON TABLE-TOP NIGHT
Tonight is hands on so bring your cameras.
Work stations will be set up for you to try various ways to photograph.

NOVEMBER 16, 2016 – CYCLING COAST TO COAST
Guest Speaker: Don Martel
Come and join us as we take a photographic tour of Canada with Don – an award winning photographer.
•Altering Images – Tim Stewart will email out 4 images to the members. You will be asked to alter these images on your computers and email them back.
•CONTEST #1 ENTRIES DEADLINE

NOVEMBER 30, 2016 – RESULTS NIGHT – CONTEST #1
Listen to critiques on how to improve your photography.
•Also this evening enjoy GRAFFITI IMAGES from a trip to Graffiti Alley in Toronto – by Brian Harris, Dave Feick, Jeff Brown and Jerry Cornell. Comedian Rick Mercer (“IV show) has walked these alleys using the Murals as his backdrop. They are a work of art.

DECEMBER 14, 2016 – CHRISTMAS POTLUCK DINNER
Join us for an evening full of Christmas Spirit and enjoy a delicious Potluck Dinner, starting at 6:00 pm.
Located at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Woodstock

The club will take a Winter Break
for the Holiday Season!

JANUARY 4, 2017 – SPOTLIGHTING A LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Guest Speaker : Trish Roberts
Wedding, Baby and Portrait Photography are only a few of her passions. She takes photos that tell the story of love and life.

JANUARY 18, 2017 – ALTERING MEMBERS IMAGES RESULTS
Enjoy viewing member’s altered images using different techniques on their own computers.
•MEMBER’S IMAGE PRESENTATIONS:
Presenters: Jeff Brown, Jerry Cornell, Robina Cullen and Dave Feick. View their images and learn photography tips and ideas. Questions and comments are welcome.

Tonight we will give you an introduction on how to make a Movie. Share your photos in a movie format that you can share with others.

FEBRUARY 15, 2017 – CREATING A PHOTO BOOK
Have you wanted to make a photo book of your travels, grandchildren or family and friends? We will show you how it is done with photos from WCC outings and then send off our book to be printed!

MARCH 1, 2017 – WORK FLOW IN LIGHTROOM
Guest Speaker: James Cowie
James takes 1000’s of images as he travels and he knows how important it is to be organized. Learn how to use a good work flow for your photos using Lightroom.

MARCH 15, 2017- DIY WITH YOUR PHOTOS & GADGETS
Have tons of photos and not know what to do with them? Come out and get some great ‘Do it yourself’ ideas.

Pick up tips in photography as you view the images.
Viewing of the Photo Art Contest. Members created a piece of art from one of their images using digital adjustments.
Winners will be announced at the Gala.

HDR PHOTOGRAPHY
HDR is an acronym for “ High Dynamic Range” photography. The human eye can see so much more detail than a single image from any camera in today’s market. You can bring an image to life High Dynamic Range.
